Ti Adoro Studios was recently featured across hundreds of news outlets nationwide — including AP News, Fox, NBC, ABC, and CBS affiliates — for our Guided Surprise Proposal Experience on 30A. Here is the full story.
How Ti Adoro Studios Guides Surprise Proposals on 30A
Planning a surprise proposal is one of the most nerve-wracking things a person can do. There are a hundred moving pieces, a secret that has to stay a secret, and exactly one chance to get it right.
We know this because we have been there for more than 60 of them.
Ti Adoro Studios has officially formalized what we have been doing quietly along Scenic Highway 30A for years: a fully guided surprise proposal photography experience designed to take every logistical burden off the person proposing, so they can walk into that moment with their full attention on the person they love.
If you are planning a proposal on 30A and you want it to be genuinely unforgettable, here is what this looks like.

What does a guided surprise proposal experience actually include?
Ti Adoro Studios handles the full plan from first conversation to final portrait: location scouting, timing, positioning, and the seamless transition into engagement portraits the moment after she says yes.
When you reach out to us about a proposal, here is what we cover together before a single photo is taken:
- Location selection across Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, WaterColor, and the surrounding 30A communities — based on your partner’s style and what will photograph beautifully at the right time of day
- A detailed timing plan designed to protect the surprise from start to finish
- Clear positioning guidance so you know exactly where to stand, when to move, and what to do with your hands
- A cover story strategy if needed, so nothing tips her off in the days leading up
- A seamless transition into engagement portraits immediately after the proposal, while the emotion is still completely raw and genuine
Most people come to us having Googled “how to propose on 30A” and not knowing where to start. By the time we are done planning together, they know every detail down to the minute.
Why does 30A attract so many proposals?
Scenic Highway 30A has become one of the most sought-after proposal destinations in the Southeast, drawing couples from across the country to its distinctive coastal towns, Gulf views, and refined atmosphere.
Rosemary Beach, with its European-inspired architecture and quiet courtyard settings, and Alys Beach, known for its striking white facades and private community character, are consistently the most requested locations we work in. Both require a permitted, approved photographer to operate legally on their grounds.
Ti Adoro Studios holds a Walton County beach photography permit and is recognized as an approved photographer by both communities. This matters because it means we can photograph in locations that are simply not accessible to every photographer operating in the area.
When you are planning the most important photo of your relationship, that access and familiarity with the location changes everything.
What makes a proposal photograph well?
Light, positioning, and timing. In that order.
The golden hour light on 30A is genuinely extraordinary, and knowing exactly when and where it falls at different times of year is something that only comes from years of working in these specific communities. Michael has spent last 10 years learning where to stand so he disappears into a crowd, how to read body language to anticipate the moment before it happens, and how to be completely invisible until the second the ring comes out.
The proposals that photograph beautifully are the ones where the person proposing is calm enough to be fully present. That calm comes from knowing every detail has already been handled.
As Michael puts it: “Planning a proposal involves a hundred moving pieces. Our job is to carry all of it so that when the moment comes, whoever is proposing walks into that moment knowing we’ve got them covered — even if their hands are still shaking.”

Who contacts us about proposals?
Couples from across the country who are traveling to 30A specifically to propose. Families who want to turn the moment into a full portrait session for everyone present. Partners who have been quietly planning for months and just need someone to hand the logistics to.
Over the past three years alone, we have photographed more than 60 surprise proposals along 30A. The planning timelines range from a week to several months. Some clients know exactly what they want. Others arrive with nothing more than a date and a ring.
We have worked with everyone from first-time visitors who have never set foot on 30A to longtime regulars who know exactly which courtyard in Rosemary Beach they want to be standing in when they propose.
What they all have in common is that they trusted us with one of the most important moments of their lives. We do not take that lightly.
How far in advance should you reach out?
Reach out as soon as you have a date in mind, even if it is months away.
Peak proposal season on 30A runs from late spring through early fall, and again around the holidays. Summer weekends in particular book quickly. The earlier we connect, the more flexibility we have to build the perfect plan around your timeline.
That said, we have also pulled together last-minute proposals with a week’s notice when the timing worked. If you have a date and a ring, reach out and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Frequently Asked Questions About 30A Proposal Photography
Do I need to be staying in Rosemary Beach or Alys Beach to book a proposal session there?
For Rosemary Beach, you need to be either a homeowner or booked through Rosemary Beach Cottage Rentals. If neither applies, there is a $500 fee payable directly to Rosemary Beach to photograph on their grounds.
Alys Beach has a similar requirement. You need to be a homeowner or a confirmed guest of the property, and there is an approval process involved.
Ti Adoro Studios is an approved photographer in both communities, which means we know exactly how to navigate these requirements for you. And if you are staying somewhere else on 30A, we will find you the perfect location with no extra fees and no jumping through hoops.
How long does a proposal session last?
The proposal itself takes only a few minutes, but we typically plan for up to an hour total to include engagement portraits immediately following the moment while the emotion is still genuine, especially if family members and friends decide to join the celebration.
Can family members be present for the proposal?
Absolutely. Some of our proposal sessions include family (parents, siblings, close friends) either witnessing the moment or joining for portraits immediately after. We coordinate their placement as part of the planning process.
What if the weather does not cooperate?
We monitor conditions closely and will communicate with you in advance if a weather situation requires tweaking time or doing it a day earlier/later. Overcast light can actually be beautiful for portraits, so we do not reschedule for clouds, only for conditions that would genuinely compromise the moment.
How soon will we receive the portraits?
After your proposal session, we schedule a private reveal appointment, either in person or over a Zoom call, where you get to experience the portraits together for the first time and purchase your favorites.
Your selected bundle of favorites includes digital portraits for sharing your announcement, along with a complimentary prints up to 8×10 or a handcrafted Storybook from Italy that tells the full story of how the proposal unfolded, designed to live in your home for generations. For couples who want more, we offer wall portraits and additional keepsakes that can be ordered at the same reveal appointment.
